What happens at the Downtown Minyan?

We Shabbat.
We meet every Shabbat morning for Torah learning and services.
We begin at 10 AM with a class on the weekly Torah portion, accompanied by delicious baked goods and coffee.
Our services begin at 10:30 AM and conclude with words of Torah.
After services, join us for a warm and delicious Shabbat lunch!
We celebrate.
Every year, we celebrate the Jewish holidays together! For each Jewish holiday, we have programming and services. Highlights include festive Simchat Torah dancing and all-night Shavuot learning, accompanied by delicious dairy meals and signature downtown snacks.
We also regularly host and promote Shabbat dinners on Friday nights, social events, service opportunities, a book club, and more!
We learn + question.
Before and after we pray on Shabbat, we engage in thought-provoking Torah-based learning that puts us in touch with our traditions and values in a modern context.
We also meet on weekdays to learn Torah together, including in our popular “Wine @ 9” program, led by Rabbi Yehuda Sarna.
